Dosage & Administration
One pill each day is recommended. 2 capsules each day, or as advised by the physician, may be required in more severe situations.
Interaction
Since Iron is complex bound, ionic interaction with foodstuff components (phytates, oxalates, tannin, etc.) and concomitant administration of medicaments (tetracyclines, antacids) are unlikely to occur.
Contraindications
Patients who have a known hypersensitivity to any of the components should avoid using this medicine.
Side Effect
In general, it is well tolerated. There may, however, be a few allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation
During pregnancy and nursing, this supplement is recommended.
Precautions & Warnings
Patients with hemochromatosis, hemolytic anemia, or red cell aplasia who are at risk for iron overload should be monitored closely. With doxycycline, iron chelates and absorption may be hampered.
